"That One Summer" is an interesting name... Where did it come from?
The founder, Tom, explains in his own words:
“It was the summer of 2007 when I realized that I wasn’t happy with my accounting career and decided to pursue photography for a living. That summer was filled as much as possible with time out in the country, in nature, swimming in creeks and laughter with friends. It inspired me to take the reins of my life and change course toward a more creative career, putting to use my lifelong hobby of studying and practicing the visual arts. It took a few years to save up the money and find the right time to quit my old accounting job, and in 2011 That One Summer LLC was formed.
“Originally, I pursued photography from a fine art perspective - traveling to scenic destinations for photo opportunities and selling prints in galleries and art fairs. I ventured into portrait, pet, and product photography. Eventually, real estate photography found its way to me, and I found my calling. Real estate photography and landscape photography share many techniques with regards to lighting, contrast, and composition, and I leverage all of my prior experience to create and improve our photos to this day."
